Research material gathered by John R. Hall for a paper entitled "An Enfield Rifle Used by Company I, 7th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, c. 1861-1865, and Inscribed by the Veteran Who Used It." Hall's analysis of the rifle allowed him to identify its manufacturer, a history of use, and the soldier who owned it, Jacob Moore of Mooresville, Ind. Materials include photocopies of research sources, correspondence, drawings, and photographs.
